How does CoolSculpting Elite work?

The CoolSculpting Elite treatment is an innovative, non-surgical way to contour your body by safely and effectively freezing stubborn fat away.

Many of us have stubborn fat despite diet and exercise. We also have a maximum number of fat cells that are set at adolescence. When you lose weight, your fat cells shrink but do not go away. With CoolSculpting Elite, controlled cooling gently and effectively targets fat cells underneath the skin while leaving the skin unaffected. Treated fat cells are frozen and then die. In the weeks that follow, the body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells. The results are permanent, as the treated fat cells are gone for good.

CoolSculpting Elite is FDA-cleared for the following treatment areas:

• Under the chin/jawline
• Upper arm
• Bra area
• Back

During your treatment, a gel pad or a gel and applicator are applied to the target area. Applicators that use vacuum suction will draw the tissue into the applicator cup. Controlled cooling is then delivered to the treatment area. You may feel intense cold, or experience sensations of pulling, mild pinching, tingling, stinging or cramping temporarily. These sensations typically subside within 10 minutes as the area becomes numb. Many patients read or even take a nap during their sessions. Afterward, patients are usually able to return to normal activities.

On average, patients typically see their best results at 3 months. Some patients have seen results as early as 3 weeks, while others have taken longer.
